About the Host

I am a 21 year old armchair historian from Idaho. My main intrests are in Military history, Roman history and US History, primarily between the French and Indian War and World War II.

The main wars I study are: All the Roman Wars, The American Indian Wars, American Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, The Crusades, American Civil War, Alexander's Conquests, the Greek-Persian Wars and the World Wars. I love studying any wars, but, those are the only ones I have good resources in my personal library.

I have written the following books:

The Last Huzzah: The American Civil War

Victory after Defeat: The Army of the Potomac

Both can be found on Lulu.com and on Amazon.

I tied fourth place for the 2006 Annual Mormon Battalion Essay Contest with my paper:All for the Faith (not very spacious, but it's still noteworthy).

I have written reviews for the following books:

Patriot Battles by Michael Stephenson (the review can be found on Armchair General's website)

Battle Cry of Freedom: The Civil War Era by James McPherson (asked by Oxford Publishing to do so when they came across my blog Battle Cry of Freedom)

What Hath God Wrought: The Transformation of America by  Daniel Walker Howe (same as the previous)
